During my HR and recruitment career, I grew increasingly frustrated that amazingly talented people sometimes couldn’t convey their value on a CV. I despaired of the wasted potential and missed opportunities for the applicant and employer. So, I set out to change it by creating The CV Writing Service. Initially, The CV Writing Service was intended to be a gentle pathway into early retirement, but it hasn’t entirely worked out that way, and I’m busier than ever

When I’m not working, my passion is football; I’m a season ticket holder at Liverpool FC. I’m also a cat rescuer, taking on the misfits no one else wants.

I was a Primary School Teacher before changing direction and joining HR, focusing on recruitment and training. I have also participated in and led education and private-sector interview panels. When not writing CVs, I am a keen food and drink enthusiast. I love spending time with my new family and enjoy social time with my friends, including going to gigs and festivals or kitchen dancing on a Friday night.

Helen leads our admin function and aims to respond to all orders and queries within 24 hours. She will email you to gather all the information needed to prepare for consultations and arrange your appointment. She also manages Lynn and Jo’s diaries and ensures every piece of work is scheduled to meet deadlines.
